On Monday (14 September), at a nearly three-hour meeting at the Secretariat with representatives of 21 business organizations including FBCCI, BGMEA, BKMEA, BTMA, MCCI, the assurance was given, according to FBCCI Administrator Md. Fazlul Haque.
After the meeting, he told journalists that the Prime Minister had said that, starting Tuesday night, industrial entrepreneurs would be able to return to the situation before the newly created gas-electricity crisis.
Fazlul Haque said, “We think this is the biggest achievement of today's meeting, the biggest news of relief.”
However, what exact amount or type of gas-electricity supply was meant by ‘previous situation’ was not clarified in the post-meeting briefing. When asked about this, Fazlul Haque said it was said that supply would return to the situation before the crisis intensified in August.
