On Monday (14 September), he sought this cooperation during a courtesy call at the office of Minister of Cultural Affairs Nitai Roy Chowdhury at the Bangladesh Secretariat. At that time, his Private Secretary (Deputy Secretary) Mohammad Rashedul Haque was present with the minister.
During the meeting, the two ministers discussed the diverse nature, history, heritage, and cultural activities of Chittagong Hill Tracts.
Saching Pru said it is necessary to further strengthen harmony and social bonds in the hill region by presenting the distinctive behavior, clothing, customs, and folk culture of various ethnic groups of Chittagong Hill Tracts together.
He said that through cultural practice, mutual understanding and spiritual relations between the hill and Bengali communities can be further strengthened. He emphasized taking joint initiatives for peace, harmony, and cultural awakening in the hills.
At that time, State Minister of Ministry of Cultural Affairs Ali Newaz Mahmud Khaiyam was present. He assured cooperation to further strengthen cultural exchange programs through joint initiatives of the two ministries.
During the meeting, the Minister for Chittagong Hill Tracts Affairs invited the Minister and State Minister of Ministry of Cultural Affairs to participate in the Prabarana Purnima and Pitha festival organized in Bandarban on next 25 October.
