He said this on Wednesday (September 16) while receiving a memorandum from former members of BAIRA at the ministry. The memorandum demanded equal opportunities for all valid and eligible recruiting agencies, an end to syndicates, a reduction in migration costs, and ensuring transparency in the recruitment process.

The secretary said several meetings have been held at the ministerial level between the two countries regarding the reopening of the labour market. The government does not want any intermediary or syndicate to take this opportunity and collect extra money from workers. BAIRA's demands will be presented to higher authorities for review.

Urging caution against brokers and fraud rings in the name of sending workers to Malaysia, he said the ministry remains strict in stopping fraud. Mobile courts have already been conducted against illegal activities.

The ministry said that once the process and schedule for sending workers are finalized, it will be officially announced through a notification.
