About an hour and a half later, a second round of attacks took place in Barmal district of Paktika. A Taliban-affiliated media outlet reported that an abandoned shop in Tor Kandi area and an abandoned house in Rakha were damaged or destroyed. However, no casualties were reported there.

Pakistan claims that Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) is involved in recent attacks in the country's Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan, and that they are taking shelter in Afghanistan and carrying out attacks in Pakistan. However, the Taliban government has been denying this allegation.
