There is a folk legend from ninth-century Ethiopia about the history of coffee. It is said that a goat herder named Kaldi noticed the unusual restlessness of his goats after they ate wild coffee berries. Later, coffee spread to various parts of the world, including Europe, through Yemen and the Ottoman Empire.

Currently, various types of coffee, including espresso, cappuccino, latte, and mocha, are popular worldwide. Coffee culture has also expanded in Bangladesh. In the capital and various cities, coffee shops have become part of young people's hangouts, studies, and work life.
