Prime Minister's political assistant Md. Rashed Khan has criticized the role of Jamaat-e-Islami leader Dr. SM Khaliduzzaman in the Dhaka-17 constituency. In a Facebook post at 7:57 pm on Friday (October 16), he alleged that Khaliduzzaman was not seen in street protests during the Awami League government's 16 years in power.
In the post, Rashed Khan criticized Khaliduzzaman's political role and recent remarks. He claimed that during Sheikh Hasina's rule, Khaliduzzaman was not vocal against the government even on social media. Yet now he is making negative comments about movements and struggles.

Rashed Khan further claimed that Khaliduzzaman's Facebook page was opened on August 25, 2024. Raising questions about his political position after the mass uprising, he also criticized Jamaat-Shibir in the post.

In the Facebook post, Rashed Khan made several personal and offensive remarks about Khaliduzzaman. However, the report did not find any statement from Khaliduzzaman regarding these allegations.
