This information was disclosed in a press release sent from CAAB's Public Relations Department on Saturday.
The release said these cameras and monitors have been installed in eight luggage belt areas of the airport. Through this, the entire process—from unloading luggage from aircraft, transporting it to designated places, sorting, and reaching the luggage belts—can be monitored live.
CAAB expects that this new system will increase transparency, efficiency, and accountability in luggage management. Alongside, passengers will get a clear idea about the movement of their luggage and be more aware of the luggage collection process.
CAAB said activities are ongoing to expand technology-driven passenger-friendly services to ensure safe and comfortable travel for domestic and foreign passengers. This initiative will also play an important role, especially so that expatriate passengers can collect their luggage smoothly after travel.
