The four-nation international handball tournament 'Begum Khaleda Zia IHF Nations Trophy' began its journey through cultural performances and a joyous atmosphere. The tournament was unveiled at the Shaheed Captain M Mansur Ali National Handball Stadium with the support of the International Handball Federation (IHF) and under the management of the Bangladesh Handball Federation. Chief Guest State Minister for Youth and Sports Md. Aminul Haque announced the official opening of the competition.
In his speech as chief guest, the State Minister for Sports said that hosting such an international sports event is a matter of great pride for Bangladesh, and through it the bonds of mutual goodwill and brotherhood among the participating countries will be strengthened.

Emphasizing the progress and empowerment of women in sports, the State Minister stated that the Ministry of Youth and Sports is working tirelessly to increase women's participation alongside keeping young people active. At that time, he called upon all participating teams to display their best skills while maintaining a sporting spirit.
