Amar Ekushey Book Fair 2027 will begin on January 7 next. The information was announced in a notice signed by Mohammad Azam, Director General of Bangla Academy, on Sunday (October 18). This month-long book fair will continue until February 6.
The notice said that an exchange of views meeting with representatives of publishers was held on October 13 at the Shaheed Munier Choudhury Conference Room of Bangla Academy. Advisor to the Ministry Dr. Zahed Ur Rahman and Secretary Yasmin Begum were present at the meeting, presided over by Minister of Cultural Affairs Nitai Roy Chowdhury. Based on the unanimous opinion of the publishers at the meeting, this new schedule for the book fair was finalised.
