Recently, this directive was issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs for the field administration.
The directive states that the committee will work to prevent the spread of juvenile gangs at the local level, identify criminal tendencies, and increase social awareness. As chairman of the committee, the UNO will supervise overall activities, and the OC, as member-secretary, will ensure implementation of legal and field-level measures.
It has also been said that integrated measures will be taken by including the heads of local educational institutions, public representatives, and representatives of conscious civil society in the committee. The concerned authorities have been directed to give special importance to monitoring as well as counseling and conducting social awareness activities to bring juveniles back to the right path.
