During the inspection, the State Minister toured the hospital's modern medical facilities and spoke with patients who came for treatment, inquiring about the quality of services and their experiences. He welcomed the initiative to bring specialized medical services for various diseases, including eye, ENT, and orthopedics, to people in remote areas.
At noon the same day, the State Minister visited the Pran-RFL factory in Narayanganj. At that time, he also inspected the model of a waterbus under construction on a trial basis for movement on the circular waterway. He discussed with relevant officials the possibilities of introducing modern and environmentally friendly vessels, improving passenger services, and increasing the use of waterways in urban transport.
The State Minister said that if the use of waterways in urban transport is increased, it will create opportunities for alternative and comfortable travel for passengers. In this regard, it is important to ensure passenger safety, service quality, and the suitability of the vessels.
Work is underway on the possibility of launching waterbuses on the circular waterway by modernizing waterways and ensuring safe passenger services. If this initiative is implemented, it may reduce pressure on roads as well as create new opportunities for city dwellers' travel.
