The 12-member special committee formed for constitutional amendment has so far held eight meetings, but has not yet been able to finalize which matters will be amended or newly added. This committee, boycotted by the opposition party, is continuing work to prepare proposals by taking opinions from various stakeholders and experts.
Regarding this, Chief Whip of the National Parliament Nurul Islam Moni said that although this session has been called to fulfill constitutional obligation, one or two bills may be passed in it. However, after completing all processes, the amendment proposal may be placed in the first session of next year.
