He said these things while speaking as the chief guest at a ceremony to award a recruiting license to ‘Prantik Shakti Limited’, an institution of the Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defence Force. The minister said this initiative of the Ansar force will help implement Prime Minister Tarek Rahman's goal of sending 10 million workers abroad in the next 5 years. He made it clear that Bangladesh will from now on export world-class skilled manpower, not unskilled workers.
Ariful Haque Chowdhury advised expatriates to properly comply with the laws of the respective countries in order to protect the country's image abroad. Calling on recruiting agencies to do business honestly, he said those who overcharge workers for personal gain will be identified as enemies of the country. Major General Abdul Motaleb Sazzad Mahmud, Director General of the Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defence Force; Mojibur Rahman, Member of Parliament for Gazipur-1 constituency; Labour Secretary Md. Abdur Rahman Tarafdar; and senior officials of various departments were present at the event.
