In the country, nine more people have died from dengue infection in the last 24 hours. At the same time, 1,982 people have been newly admitted to hospital. With this, the total death toll from dengue this year has reached 409 and the number of hospital admissions due to infection has reached 130,219. This information was provided in a press release by the Directorate General of Health Services on Wednesday (October 28) afternoon.
According to the release, in the last one day the highest number of patients, 816, were admitted to hospital in Dhaka Division. This division also recorded the highest six deaths. In addition, one person each died in Chattogram, Khulna and Rajshahi. This year, the highest 192 deaths from dengue occurred in Dhaka. The Directorate General of Health Services said that currently 6,205 dengue patients are undergoing treatment in various hospitals across the country. So far, 123,605 people have recovered and left hospital.
