State Minister for Primary and Mass Education Bobi Hajjaj has directed that all textbooks designated for students of government primary schools be supplied by next November 5. The State Minister also warned that from next year, institutions that print books using old printing presses will no longer be given work.

The State Minister said that taking responsibility for printing textbooks means completing the work while maintaining the stipulated standards. Book quality cannot be compromised on the excuse of printing press capacity or technical limitations. If there are any limitations, they must be taken into consideration before participating in the tender. It is the responsibility of the relevant institution to ensure the quality of books for which the government has awarded the work.

During the inspection, Bobi Hajjaj noticed inconsistencies in colour composition and alignment in several books. He warned those concerned so that such defects do not spread to a large number of books. At the same time, he stressed further strengthening quality control and monitoring of printing work.

Bobi Hajjaj said that merely finishing the printing work is not enough; it must be ensured whether every book has been printed according to the stipulated standards. It is the government's responsibility to deliver quality textbooks into the hands of students. In this regard, negligence or substandard work is in no way acceptable.
