People will call BNP traitors if July Charter not implemented: Manju

Mojibur Rahman Manju, chairman of Amar Bangladesh Party (AB Party), has remarked that if the July National Charter is not implemented, people will identify BNP as traitors. He said this today, Saturday (31 October) morning at the inaugural rally of the 11-party alliance's long march at the south gate of Baitul Mukarram in the capital.

Manju said, if BNP, while in power, does not implement the verdict of the referendum or the July Charter, then the people will call them traitors. And if the goal of establishing a democratic Bangladesh fails and power has to be relinquished for any reason, BNP will have to suffer the most oppression and persecution. In addition, addressing former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, he said, ‘Do not wait until December; if possible, come in November, we are ready.’

Opposition leader and Amir of Jamaat-e-Islami Dr. Shafiqur Rahman spoke as chief guest at the rally. At that time, LDP Chairman Colonel (retd) Oli Ahmed, Amir of Bangladesh Khilafat Majlis Allama Mamunul Haque, Jamaat-e-Islami Secretary General Mia Golam Parwar and top leaders of the 11-party alliance were present.
