DSCC frees New Market footpaths from occupation, plants trees
Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) has freed the main road and footpaths in the New Market area of the capital from occupation and placed decorative plant pots there. Today, Saturday (31 October) at 3 pm, this eviction and cleaning drive was conducted under the leadership of DSCC Administrator Bir Muktijoddha Md. Abdus Salam.

During the drive, footpaths and roads were freed from occupation from Gate No. 1 of New Market adjacent to Nilkhet intersection to Gate No. 4 of Chandrima Super Market, and from Priyangan Super Market to Nilkhet intersection. To prevent the freed spaces from being reoccupied and to enhance the area's beauty, plant pots have been temporarily placed there.
