Six more die of dengue, 1,970 hospitalized

In the last 24 hours, six more people died from dengue infection across the country. During this period, 1,970 people were newly admitted to hospitals.

With this, the death toll from dengue this year rose to 433. The information was disclosed in a press release from the Directorate General of Health Services on Monday.

According to the release, among the newly admitted patients, the highest 900 are from Dhaka Division. In addition, 294 in Khulna, 252 in Chattogram, 183 in Barishal, 153 in Rajshahi, 95 in Mymensingh, 71 in Rangpur and 22 in Sylhet Division were admitted to hospitals.

According to the Directorate General of Health Services, until November 2 of this year, a total of 138,899 people have been admitted to hospitals with dengue infection in the country. Among them, 132,499 have recovered and returned home. Currently, 6,017 patients are under treatment. It may be noted that in 2025, 102,861 people were admitted to hospitals with dengue infection and 413 died.
