Home Minister Salahuddin Ahmed has warned that if attempts are made to create instability in collusion with fallen fascist forces in the name of a workers' movement, they will be suppressed with an iron hand. He said this while responding to journalists' questions at the Secretariat around 11:30 am on Tuesday.
The Home Minister said, their legitimate demands have no connection with the ongoing workers' protests in several places of the country. If any quarter engages in provocative activities to shut down garment factories, strict legal action will be taken against them.

He also expressed hope that garment factories currently closed due to the ongoing situation will be reopened very soon.
