Tree Fair Ends, But Responsibility for Planting and Care Continues: Environment Minister
Environment, Forest and Climate Change Minister Abdul Awal Mintu has said that although the National Tree Fair 2026 has officially ended, the responsibility of planting trees, caring for them, and building a green Bangladesh has not—rather, the real work begins now. He stressed that every sapling taken from the fair must be properly planted and regularly maintained. If families, educational institutions, youth groups, and all sections of society work together, the target of increasing the country's forest cover to 27% by 2035 can be achieved ahead of schedule.
