Turkish popular series 'Sultan Salahuddin Ayyubi' coming to the screen of Nagorik TV-Bongo
The Turkish mega-series 'Kudus Fatihi Selahaddin Eyyubi', based on the life and struggle of Sultan Salahuddin Ayyubi, one of the greatest heroes of the Muslim world and the conqueror of Jerusalem, is now coming to Bangladesh for Bengali viewers. In a joint initiative of Nagorik TV and the popular OTT platform Bongo, this historical series will be broadcast from next August 2nd.

This official announcement was made at a grand press conference held at the Intercontinental Hotel in the capital. It was informed at the event that viewers will be able to enjoy this series from next August 2nd, every Sunday to Thursday at 8:00 PM on Nagorik TV and at 9:00 PM on the digital platform Bongo.

The main story of the series revolves around an unforgettable journey to liberate the holy city of Jerusalem from the occupation of the Crusaders. The political and military struggle behind uniting the Muslim world, establishing justice, and the heroic saga of this great commander have been skillfully depicted in this series. This mega-series, which gained immense popularity in Turkey, brings the historical context of the 12th century to life for the viewers through massive sets, excellent cinematography, great action scenes, and the natural acting of the performers.

Regarding this historic step, Mohammad Ali Haider, Head of Content at Bongo, said, “We are delighted to bring the life story of a world-renowned hero like Sultan Salahuddin Ayyubi to the viewers. Bongo is always committed to presenting international quality content tailored for local audiences. We believe this series, full of great action, politics, and emotion, will greatly entertain all viewers in Bangladesh.”

On the other hand, Navidul Haque, Chairman of Nagorik TV, expressing his optimism about this joint initiative, said, “Nagorik TV has always been providing viewers with quality and tasteful entertainment. We are continuing that tradition by broadcasting a world-class production like Sultan Salahuddin Ayyubi in Bengali. I firmly believe that this partnership with Bongo will take our entertainment world one step further.”

At the press conference, Kamruzzaman Babu, Head of Program at Nagorik TV, said, “We always try to arrange programs keeping in mind the taste and demand of the viewers. 'Sultan Salahuddin Ayyubi' is not just an entertainment series; it is a historical document. Through excellent dubbing and attractive presentation, we have tried to make the series so vivid for Bengali viewers that they can become a part of that historical era. We hope this series will create a new milestone on the screen of Nagorik TV.”

Senior officials of Nagorik TV and Bongo, as well as journalists from leading media houses in the country, were also present at the press conference. At the end of the event, the official trailer and poster of the Bengali version of the series were unveiled, which created great enthusiasm among everyone present. Additionally, after the press conference, an attractive raffle draw was organized for the attending media personnel, where three lucky winners were given an AC, a TV, and a smartphone as gifts.
