The new ball is an upgraded version of the 'Trionda' model unveiled last October. While the technical features and performance of the previous ball remain unchanged, the design has been refreshed to reflect the atmosphere of the World Cup's final stage.

Adidas said that this time, the traditional approach of simply changing colors was not followed. On a black background, a golden design symbolically represents the World Cup trophy, highlighting the prestige of the title fight and giving the ball a distinct character.

The ball's design also features the identities of the 16 host cities of the World Cup. Alongside the venues for the last four matches—Dallas, Atlanta, Miami, and New Jersey—the names of Boston, Guadalajara, Houston, Kansas City, Los Angeles, Mexico City, Monterrey, Philadelphia, San Francisco Bay Area, Seattle, Toronto, and Vancouver are also included. This reflects the joint hosting by the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

Speaking on the occasion of the new ball's unveiling, FIFA President Gianni Infantino said they are delighted to use the 'Trionda Final' in the last four matches of the World Cup. In his words, the 'Trionda' has been part of countless memorable moments throughout the tournament, and the new ball will be a symbol of the unity of the three host countries and their love for football.

Technologically, the ball is also equipped with modern features. It uses Adidas' 'Connected Ball' technology, which can instantly provide data on the ball's movement during a match. This technology will make the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) system more effective and assist match officials in making quick and accurate decisions on various critical matters, including offside.
