Dhaka District Police Superintendent Shamima Parveen confirmed the matter, saying that two people have been arrested on charges of involvement in the incident. The process of sending them to court is ongoing.

In response to a question about whether the arrested individuals have political identities, she said, 'We do not give importance to political identity. Our job is to arrest criminals.'

Dhaka District (North) Detective Police Officer-in-Charge (OC) Saidul Islam said that a raid was conducted in the Anandapur area of Savar municipality around 2:00 AM on Tuesday, and two individuals named Nurul Islam (55) and Md. Sajib (32) were arrested.

He said that the arrested Nurul Islam was a former president of the Joymontop Union branch of the banned organization Chhatra League in Singair upazila and a former general secretary of the same union branch of the banned Jubo League. On the other hand, Sajib is preliminarily known to be a local-level activist of the banned Jubo League.

The OC further said that preliminary investigation has found information about their involvement in the incident. They have been handed over to Savar Model Police Station. They will be shown as arrested in the case and sent to court.
