On Sunday (July 12) morning, it was seen on the spot that the entire road in front of BNP's central office at Nayapaltan was submerged in water. It has become difficult to distinguish the boundary between the road and the footpath due to the murky and dirty water.
Locals complain that this waterlogging has been caused by continuous heavy rainfall and the poor drainage system in the capital.
Due to the submersion, the movement of rickshaws and various vehicles is being disrupted. Water has also entered or is very close to the front parts of multi-storied buildings and shops on both sides of the road.
Meanwhile, water has also entered inside BNP's central office due to the waterlogging. In this situation, the party's Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi was seen leaving the office on a rickshaw.
Due to continuous rainfall in the capital, waterlogging has occurred in various areas besides Nayapaltan, which is significantly affecting the normal life and vehicular movement of city dwellers.
