He made this comment while speaking to HSC examinees protesting demanding the resignation of the Education Minister at the Dhaka University area on Tuesday (July 14) afternoon.
Nasir Uddin Nasir said, regarding the demand raised by students for the temporary postponement of the HSC exams due to the ongoing disaster, Chhatra Dal has also made the same demand. A press release was issued earlier on behalf of the organization regarding this matter.
He said, 'Bangladesh Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal always agrees with the legitimate demands of the students. We have called upon the government to reconsider its decision.'
The Chhatra Dal general secretary said, 'In the last 17 years, whenever the Awami League government made any demand, the terrorists of Chhatra League would support it. But Chhatra Dal, even by opposing the government, has spoken in favor of the students.'
He further said that it is learned that officials of the concerned education board and administration have already held meetings. He expressed hope that an acceptable solution to this problem will be reached through discussion.
Regarding the allegation of errors in the question paper, Nasir said it is a technical problem. The education board has assured a solution in this regard. He said, 'Any problem can be solved through discussion. We stand with the students.'
It is to be noted that, centering on continuous rain, waterlogging, and allegations of errors in the Physics first paper question paper, HSC examinees are holding protest and road blockade programs at Science Lab intersection and various other places in the capital with an eight-point demand including the resignation of Education Minister Dr. A N M Ehsanul Haque Milan. Alongside the capital, movements with the same demands are ongoing in various parts of the country.
