Bangladesh Bank's calculations show that in just three days—from July 16 to 18—$161 million entered the country. Earlier, in the first five days of the month, $567 million had arrived. Due to the consistent flow, total remittances reached $1.798 billion after 18 days.

According to concerned parties, the positive trend in expatriate income continues due to the increased tendency to send money through banking channels, various government initiatives to encourage remittances through legal paths, and incentives.

According to them, this upward trend in remittance flow will play an important role in strengthening the country's foreign exchange reserves, meeting import costs, and maintaining the balance of foreign transactions.
