Renowned Chinese actress Tang Wei has embraced motherhood for the second time at the age of 47. The internationally acclaimed star and her husband, South Korean director Kim Tae-yong, have welcomed a baby boy. Tang Wei personally shared the joyous news on social media.

On Wednesday, she posted an image on WeChat Moments featuring the hands of her family members alongside a toy horse. Referencing her firstborn daughter, Summer, she captioned the post: "Now the new journey of our family of four begins."

A spokesperson for the actress confirmed the birth, acknowledging it as the couple's second child. Following the announcement, fans from across the globe, particularly from China and South Korea, flooded social media with congratulatory messages.

Speculation surrounding Tang Wei's pregnancy had been circulating for months. In April of this year, she was seen with a visible baby bump at a luxury brand event in Shanghai. She later officially confirmed the pregnancy by posting a family photo with her husband and daughter, stating, "We are thrilled. A new member is about to join our family."

Born in China in 1979, Tang Wei made her acting debut in 2004. She achieved international fame with the 2010 film Late Autumn, where she met director Kim Tae-yong. Their professional relationship evolved into romance, leading to their marriage in 2014. The couple welcomed their first daughter, Summer, in 2016. Now, nearly a decade later, their family has expanded once again.
