Meeting of BAPA and Danish Embassy on expansion of Bangladesh-Denmark trade and investment
An important meeting was held between Bangladesh Agro-Processors Association (BAPA) and the Royal Danish Embassy with the aim of expanding bilateral trade, investment, and import-export of agro-processed products between Bangladesh and Denmark.

The meeting was held at the BAPA office in the capital at 10:00 AM on Wednesday (July 22) and was chaired by BAPA General Secretary Syed Shoyeb Hasan.

On behalf of Denmark, Commercial Counselor and Head of Trade and Investment of the Royal Danish Embassy, Nadia Itani, participated in the meeting.

At that time, BAPA Treasurer Minhaj Ahmed, former General Secretary Md. Iktadul Haque, and Executive Committee members Md. Al-Imran, Mizanur Rahman, Babul Sareng, and Papan Rahman, along with other senior leaders of the organization, were present.

During the meeting, the existing commercial relations between Bangladesh and Denmark were reviewed, and detailed discussions were held on future cooperation opportunities. Both sides exchanged views especially on the potential export of agro-processed and food products from Bangladesh to Denmark and the import of modern technology, machinery, and other products from Denmark to Bangladesh.

The discussions emphasized the expansion of bilateral trade, increasing investment, and building effective partnerships between businessmen of the two countries.

It was decided in the meeting that another meeting will be held between both parties at the Royal Danish Embassy in the future with the aim of identifying potential sectors and formulating a coordinated action plan.

Those concerned expressed hope that such initiatives will help expand the international market for Bangladesh's agro-processing industry and further enhance the competitiveness of the country's agro-processing sector through Danish investment and technology transfer.
