On Monday (July 27), BAJUS's Standing Committee on Pricing and Price Monitoring announced the new prices.
According to the new prices, including VAT, the price per vori (11.664 grams) of 22-carat hallmark gold has been set at Tk 2,23,074.

21-carat gold: Tk 2,13,043
18-carat gold: Tk 1,82,950
Traditional gold: Tk 1,49,474
Silver prices have also been increased. Per vori according to new prices:
22-carat hallmark silver: Tk 4,666
21-carat silver: Tk 4,549
18-carat silver: Tk 3,907
Traditional silver: Tk 2,974
BAJUS has said that these prices will remain effective in all jewelry establishments until further notice. However, labor charges will be added separately based on the design and craftsmanship of the ornaments. Since VAT is included in the selling price, no additional VAT can be collected from customers.
