Addressing Palestinians, he said, ‘Despite so much pain and suffering, you have shown us such sincerity. Thank you from the heart. I want to tell Layan, all the children and teenagers of Gaza and their families — the people of Spain hear you, see you, are by your side, and will never forget you.’

The Spanish Prime Minister expressed hope that one day the children of Gaza will return to their schools in an environment free from war and fear, draw again, and build a peaceful future.

It is noteworthy that since the start of the war in Gaza, Spain has been vocal in criticizing Israel's policies. The country has called for the suspension of the European Union-Israel Association Agreement, recalled its ambassador from Tel Aviv, and also banned some activities related to the Israeli military.
