The court has dismissed the petition to file a case against 27 people, including Chief Adviser of the interim government Dr. Muhammad Yunus and Law Adviser Dr. Asif Nazrul, over vandalism, looting and arson at Sheikh Mujibur Rahman's house at Dhanmondi 32.
On Thursday, the court of Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Jewel Rana passed the order to dismiss the case petition after recording the complainant's statement.

In the case, along with naming 27 people, an application was made to make 3,000 to 5,000 unidentified individuals accused. It was alleged that on February 5 last year, a pre-planned attack, vandalism, looting and arson were carried out at the building at Dhanmondi 32.

In the case, charges were brought under various sections of the Penal Code, as well as the relevant sections of the Explosive Substances Act and the Anti-Terrorism Act.
