Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Amir Dr. Shafiqur Rahman congratulated newly elected President Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir.
After the presidential election result was announced on Thursday, he extended heartfelt greetings to Mirza Fakhrul on being elected as the 23rd President in a Facebook post.
Dr. Shafiqur Rahman expressed hope that as guardian of the state, Mirza Fakhrul will utilise his competence and wisdom in establishing justice, upholding democracy, and protecting the country's independence and sovereignty.
