Strict warning over visas for Bangladeshi students in the United States
The US Embassy in Dhaka has warned Bangladeshi students studying in the United States to comply with their visa conditions. It said student visas may be canceled if students drop out of studies, remain regularly absent from classes, or withdraw from their designated academic program without notifying their educational institution.

The US Embassy issued the warning in a message posted on social media on Saturday (August 22) morning. In the message, students were urged to follow the prescribed visa rules and regulations to maintain their legal status in the United States.

The embassy's message said that if any student stops studying, remains absent from classes, or withdraws from their study program without notifying the relevant educational institution, their student visa may be canceled.

The embassy also warned that not only could the visa be canceled, but in such situations there is also a risk of losing eligibility to obtain a US visa in the future.
