Briefing journalists after the meeting, Jamaat-e-Islami Secretary General Mia Golam Parwar said that as the main opposition party in and outside parliament, Jamaat-e-Islami and the 11-party alliance are playing a constructive role. The principle of cooperating with the government's good work and opposing injustice and anti-people activities was also placed before the editors.

He said Jamaat's opposition would be constitutional and constructive. Even though the opposition has street programmes, the editors advised that the country's stability should not be undermined.
