The state minister said there is no distance between the government and Hefazat. Activities of the Ministry of Religious Affairs will be carried forward through communication and consultation with the ulama-mashaikh. Constructive advice to the government is necessary so that mistakes can be avoided.
At this time, Muhibbullah Babunagari's son Mufti Ayub Babunagari said the state minister expressed his resolve to work with the ulama-mashaikh. He said he would carry out his duties as the state minister for religious affairs for everyone, not for any particular group.
Mufti Ayub Babunagari said no discussion was held in the meeting regarding Hefazat's earlier statement protesting the appointment of the state minister for religious affairs.
