He arrived at Thakurgaon Mohammad Ali Stadium ground by helicopter at 12:58 pm on Sunday. Later, the President went to the Circuit House and received a guard of honor.

At the beginning of the visit, he is scheduled to visit his parents' graves at Senua Cemetery and go to his own home. In the afternoon, he will attend a civic reception at Thakurgaon Government Boys' High School ground. Later, he will hold courtesy meetings with local dignitaries, relatives and residents.

On Monday, the President will lay the foundation stone of Thakurgaon University. Extensive preparations have been taken across the city centering the visit, and beautification work is underway on various roads and important places.
