President Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir's eldest daughter, Dr. Shamaruh Mirza, has shared an emotional message on social media regarding his visit to his home district Thakurgaon and a civic reception held for him.
On Sunday, in a post on her own Facebook page, she expressed excitement about her father's visit and said that to her, her father's identity is greater than his official identity. She also expressed their gratitude and love for Thakurgaon.

Recalling a recent conversation with a journalist, Shamaruh Mirza wrote, ‘Whether he becomes President or not, he is always my Abbu, my hero.’
