Prime Minister Tareq Rahman has left Dhaka for New York, United States, to attend the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA).

He departed from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport for New York at around 5:45 am on Monday (September 21).

His wife, Dr. Zubaida Rahman, is accompanying him as a travel companion. Also on the trip are several cabinet members of the government, politicians, senior government officials and personal officials.

During the visit to New York, it is learned that the Prime Minister will attend the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly as well as meet with various heads of state and government.
