According to the complaint, on the night of September 23, Sadekul took the sixth-grade student to Jannatul Mawa Qawmi Madrasa, saying he would give him religious education. It is alleged that he was sodomized there. The student also alleged that he was threatened that he would be killed by jinn if he told anyone about the matter.

Later, the student returned to the mess and told a journalist about the matter. When the news spread, locals went to the madrasa, detained the teacher, and informed the police. Around 10 pm, police took him into custody.

After the teacher was taken to the police station, some teachers of the madrasa went there, and an altercation occurred between them and the locals. Later, the situation calmed down with police intervention.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) Zahidul Haque of Habiganj Sadar Police Station said that the victim student's father, Abdur Rouf, filed a case as the complainant. The incident is under investigation.
