In trading up to 12:30 a.m. Greenwich Mean Time, the price of Brent crude rose by 63 cents, or 0.6 percent, to $105.91 per barrel.

At the same time, in the US market, the price of West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude oil rose by 72 cents, or 0.8 percent, to $93.32 per barrel.
