The Finance Minister said that the government is focusing on creating a suitable environment for investment and increasing opportunities for new employment to stimulate the economy. At the same time, uncertainty in the global economy is also affecting Bangladesh's economy.
He said that due to inflation, pressure has been created on people's purchasing power. Alongside, revenue collection has also decreased. In this situation, priority is being given to restoring macroeconomic stability, controlling inflation and rebuilding confidence in the banking sector.
The Finance Minister further said that maintaining competitive capacity in exports, creating an environment for private investment, and reviving momentum in the economy by increasing investment and employment are among the government's goals. The government is working to ensure the maximum benefit of economic activities for the people.
