The state minister said a new framework for training is being developed to make teachers proficient in modern learning methods. Under the new rules, teachers will return to classes after completing two months of in-campus training at PTIs, and will complete the remaining modules in phases over two and a half to three years. The annual capacity of PTIs will be increased from 7,000 to 42,000. Besides, work is underway with the goal of ensuring nutritious ‘mid-day meals’ for 100 percent of children in all government primary schools in the country by 2027.

To make teachers skilled in technology, an ecosystem of ‘One Teacher, One Tab’ and ‘Smart Classroom’ is being created. Regarding promotions to about 37,000 vacant posts of head teachers, Bobby Hajjaj said the legal process has already been completed. As soon as a copy of the court's final verdict is received, promotions will be given through the PSC, which will also open the way for the recruitment of a large number of new assistant teachers. At the same time, the government is considering special allowances and the establishment of residential schools for teachers in remote areas.
