Prime Minister Tareq Rahman ‘President of Awami Rehabilitation League’: Sadiq Kayem
Dhaka University Central Students' Union (DUCSU) VP Sadiq Kayem has remarked that Prime Minister Tareq Rahman is the ‘president of Awami Rehabilitation League’.

In a post on his Facebook account on Wednesday (21 October), he made this remark while alleging a compromise between BNP and Awami League.

In his post, Sadiq Kayem alleged that the basis of this compromise between BNP and Awami League is the old political system of dividing and plundering. At that time, he raised questions about the government's sincerity regarding implementing the charter of the martyrs of the July uprising, the verdict of the referendum on state reform, and bringing back the fugitive genocide perpetrators to the country. He also strongly criticized the smiling court appearance of Ziaul Ahsan, who is accused as a killer, the secret meeting of BNP-Awami League leaders in Narayanganj, and the changing hands of mega-project businesses.

At the end of the post, the DUCSU VP asked, "Now if someone says that the president of Awami Rehabilitation League is Prime Minister Tareq Rahman himself, would that be wrong?"

Earlier, last Tuesday at a public rally in Rajshahi, Prime Minister Tareq Rahman had alleged that the fugitive dictator and several political parties were trying to create labor unrest in the country. He claimed that one side is giving money from across the border and the other side is creating instability while sitting in the country.
