He made the comment in a post on his verified Facebook account on Saturday (October 24).
In his post, Mahbub Kabir cited his experiences in Singapore and Australia and said that the nature of children's safety and education in developed countries is different. There, law, education, and a healthy environment have improved society. On the other hand, in our country, various crimes and injustices continue unabated. He said, "We know that no matter what crime we commit, we will come out on bail after two days. In this country, crime is increasing due to the weakness of the justice system and lack of accountability."
Expressing anger in the post, he further said that a notion has been created in society that all crimes will be forgiven just by praying. But prayer, fasting, Hajj, and Zakat are only parts of good deeds. He mentioned that such misconceptions are the reason why degeneration is increasing in society.
