Mahmudur Rahman said that to protect the country’s independence, Muslims must remove disunity and become united. Highlighting the need for the conventional education system alongside religious education, he urged removing the division between these two streams of education. Noting that due to disunity among Muslims across the world, conflicts including genocide in Palestine are ongoing in various places, he expressed hope that the new generation will be able to eliminate this disunity.
Calling upon young huffaz to achieve excellence in modern knowledge and science alongside religious education, he further said, at one time Muslims were at the top in knowledge, science and research. It is through these youths that it is possible to bring back Muslims’ lost leadership on the global stage. At the event, National Parliament’s Leader of the Opposition and Amir of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Dr. Shafiqur Rahman, along with distinguished scholars, teachers, students and guardians from across the country, were present.
