State Minister for Foreign Affairs Humayun Kabir has left Dhaka to attend the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM-2026) to be held in Antigua and Barbuda from 1 to 4 November. He is participating in the summit as head of the Bangladesh delegation and acting foreign minister. He left Dhaka yesterday Saturday (31 October) morning for St. John's, the capital of Antigua and Barbuda, and is scheduled to arrive there today Sunday (1 November).
During the visit, he will attend the opening and executive sessions of the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting, as well as several foreign-minister-level meetings and a number of bilateral meetings. It may be mentioned that, according to a notification issued by the Cabinet Division on 25 October, State Minister for Foreign Affairs Humayun Kabir has been given the status of a full foreign minister (cabinet minister) during this summit.
