At the meeting, the Prime Minister emphasized adopting an integrated action plan to ensure public safety in earthquake-prone areas of the country, including Dhaka, and following the National Building Code in building construction. He urged effective coordination among the relevant ministries, RAJUK, Fire Service and other service-providing agencies to reduce loss of life and damage in this natural disaster.

In addition, the Prime Minister stressed ensuring the safety of hospitals and educational institutions, stockpiling adequate rescue equipment and raising public awareness. Disaster Management and Relief Minister Asadul Habib Dulu, State Minister for Local Government Mir Shahe Alam, RAJUK Chairman Engineer Riazul Islam Rizu, along with relevant senior officials, were present at the meeting.
