This information was officially announced in a notification of the Election Commission Secretariat on Monday (2 November) morning.

The notification, signed by Md. Moin Uddin Khan, Joint Secretary of the Election Management-2 Sub-division, said that Eliza Zaman submitted her nomination papers on 26 October last for the by-election to the declared vacant ‘323 Women's Seat-23’. Although the scheduled time for withdrawal of candidacy ended on Sunday (1 November), she did not withdraw it. As a result, according to law, she has been finally declared elected uncontested.
