Tax benefits not reflected in market, prices of 63 daily essentials unchanged: CAB
The Consumers Association of Bangladesh (CAB) has alleged that although taxes on 63 essential commodities were reduced in the budget for the 2026-27 fiscal year, the benefits have not yet reached consumers. The organization claims that despite the government's tax cuts, the market prices of various daily necessities, including rice and soybean oil, have not reflected the reduction.
