Gold being sold at today's price in the country's market
The price of gold in the country's market was last reduced on July 14, but there has been no further change since then. As a result, on Monday (July 20), gold is being sold across the country at the previous price set by the Bangladesh Jewellers Association (BAJUS).

According to BAJUS's latest decision, the price of 22-carat gold per bhori (11.664 grams) including VAT has been set at 2 lakh 19 thousand 808 taka.

  • 22 Carat: 2 lakh 19 thousand 808 taka (per bhori)
  • 21 Carat: 2 lakh 9 thousand 894 taka
  • 18 Carat: 1 lakh 80 thousand 267 taka
  • Traditional method gold: 1 lakh 47 thousand 316 taka

BAJUS stated that due to a decrease in the price of raw gold (pure gold) in the local market, a new gold price was set on July 14 considering the overall situation. According to that decision, the price of 22-carat gold per bhori was reduced by 2 thousand 158 taka.

The organization further informed that this price will remain effective in all jewelry establishments in the country until further instructions.

However, for gold ornaments, labor charges will be added to the set price based on the design and craftsmanship. Additionally, since VAT is included in the selling price of gold ornaments and silver jewelry, VAT cannot be collected separately from customers.

At the same time, the existing BAJUS policy will remain in effect for exchanging and purchasing ornaments, excluding specific VAT, labor charges, and the cost of stones used.
